Tournament returned after 7 years… India-Pakistan match on the first day

New Delhi. The cricket teams of India and Pakistan are going to clash on the very first day of the tournament. The Hong Kong Sixes Tournament has returned after seven years. The Indian team is entering this tournament under the captaincy of world champion player Robin Uthappa. India and Pakistan will clash on Friday 1 October at Tin Kwong Road Cricket Ground. The tournament will run till 3 November. 12 teams are participating in this. A team will include 6 players. The twelve teams are divided into four pools consisting of three teams each. Which will participate on round robin basis. The Indian team is in Pool C where the teams of Pakistan and UAE are.

Hosts Hong Kong have been placed in Pool A along with South Africa and New Zealand. Whereas in Pool B there are teams of Australia, England and Nepal. The teams of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Oman are in Group D. The first match of the tournament will be played between South Africa and host Hong Kong. After this, India will face Pakistan in a high voltage match on the very first day. The top two teams of all pools will go to the quarter-finals. The winning teams of the quarter finals will make it to the semi-finals. The losing teams in the quarter finals will enter the plate semi-finals. The lowest ranked teams in each pool will compete in a bowl competition.

A total of 29 matches will be played in the Hong Kong Sixes Tournament. Live telecast of the tournament matches will be on Star Sports while live streaming will be on Fan Code. Its broadcast will be from 8:15 am as per Hong Kong time and 5:45 am as per Indian time. A total of 10 matches including India vs Pakistan will be played on the first day. On the second day, on November 2, 10 matches will be played. On this day the Indian team will face UAE.
