Darshan, who has been in jail for 5 months, gets 6 months interim bail, will undergo spine operation.

The Karnataka High Court on Wednesday granted interim bail to actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, accused in the Renukaswamy murder case, on medical grounds to undergo spinal surgery. Justice S. Vishwajeet Shetty’s bench granted six weeks’ interim bail to Darshan on medical grounds. The court on Tuesday considered the interim bail plea after hearing the detailed arguments of senior advocate CV Nagesh and state public prosecutor P. Prasanna Kumar presented on behalf of the actor. The order was reserved.

The medical report was presented in a sealed envelope

The state government had presented the medical reports of the doctors of Ballari Central Jail and the head of the Neurology Department of a government hospital there in a sealed cover. Let us tell you that Darshan was arrested on June 11 and he/she is currently in Ballari jail.

Darshan’s bail plea was rejected on September 21.

The sessions court had rejected Darshan’s bail plea on September 21. After this he/she filed a petition in the High Court seeking interim bail for treatment.

Obscene message to Darshan’s friend Pavitra Gowda

According to the police, the actor’s fan Renukaswamy (33) had sent obscene messages to his/her friend Pavitra Gowda, due to which an enraged Darshan allegedly murdered her. his/her body was recovered from a drain next to an apartment in Sumanahalli here on June 9.

Raghavendra, an accused who was a part of Darshan’s ‘fan club’ in Chitradurga, had brought Renukaswamy here in RR Nagar under the guise of introducing him/her to the actor. Renukaswamy was allegedly tortured there.

Renukaswami died due to multiple serious injuries.

According to the post-mortem report, Renukaswamy, a resident of Chitradurga, died due to multiple serious injuries. Police have said that investigation has proved that Pavitra instigated other accused, conspired with them and participated in this crime.
