After the big 78-run defeat against Chennai Super Kings, captain Pat Cummins made a big statement about the team. He said that it has always been a batsman’s game.

Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins believes that the T20 format has always been batsman-friendly and in the current season of the Indian Premier League, it has gone one step further. Sunrisers were defeated by Chennai Super Kings by 78 runs on Sunday. In this season of IPL, scores of more than 250 have been scored six times and victory is not guaranteed even after scoring 200 runs. Before this, a score of more than 250 had been made only twice in the history of IPL.

Cummins said after the match, “T20 has always been a batsman’s game and this season it has gone one step further.” We do not have many bowling options and we can win only by batting aggressively.

In the auction held for the Indian Premier League 2024, Sunrisers Hyderabad had included Australian captain Pat Cummins with a bid of Rs 20.50 crore. Last season, Aiden Markram captained the team but for the new season, Cummins was given the command of the team.
