Kohli made a record by entering the field, became the first cricketer to do so


New Delhi. In the 62nd match of IPL, Virat Kohli registered a big record in his name. Virat has become the first cricketer to play 250 matches for any one team in IPL. He achieved this feat in the match against Delhi Capitals. Virat made this big record in his name as soon as he entered the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Virat is currently performing well in IPL. Kohli has scored more than 600 runs in this season of IPL. RCB is still in the race for the playoffs.

IPL started in the year 2008. Virat Kohli has been playing for RCB since the first edition of IPL. He has become the fourth player overall to play 250 matches in IPL. Before Virat, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) had played 263 matches in IPL. After Dhoni comes Rohit Sharma. Former Mumbai Indians captain Rohit has played 256 matches in IPL, while RCB wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik is at third position after playing 255 IPL matches.

Virat Kohli has scored 7906 runs in 250 IPL matches for RCB, which includes 8 centuries and 55 half-centuries. Virat has scored runs in IPL at a strike rate of 131.68. His average during this period has been 38.75. In the current season of IPL, Kohli has scored a maximum of 643 runs in 13 matches which includes 1 century and 5 half centuries. Kohli was dismissed by Ishant Sharma in the match against Delhi. Ishant got Kohli caught by wicketkeeper Abhishek Porel on the personal score of 27 runs.
