Losing mother Mona was emotionally very challenging for actor Arjun Kapoor. he/she talked about them in the latest podcast. Being the eldest son of the family, there was no other option but to remain strong. Raj Shamani’s podcast Arjun Kapoor said about losing his/her mother Mona, ‘That was a very difficult time. My past is burdensome. There is a lot of weight on him/her. There is a lot of trauma. I completely respect that people think we had it easy…. I have never had any doubt about how difficult it is for outsiders to make a career in this profession. But why do you think it’s easy for me to live the life I live?’

Arjun Kapoor lost his/her mother before his/her debut

Arjun Kapoor lost his/her mother when he/she was 24 years old. Mona passed away just before the release of his/her debut film ‘Ishaqzaade’, leaving the actor devastated. he/she told Raj Shamani, ‘You can go home and sleep with your head in your mother’s lap. I can never do that. I cannot sleep with my head in my mother’s lap. God has given me some emotions too. But I don’t have what you have. But should I feel jealous for this? Do you have a mother, so I should think bad about you? You have something that I will never have. So no matter how much I pray, she will never be with me again.

Arjun Kapoor did not take Boney Kapoor’s help

Arjun Kapoor told that his/her mother’s death inspired him/her to stand on his/her own feet and take care of sister Anshula. he/she made his/her mark on his/her own strength. ‘I am an independent person. My parents have helped me in every possible way. There has been support but financially from the day I started working, I did everything on my own. My first salary was from Ishaqzaade. And my mother left without knowing that my future lay in this. From then till today I have never asked for anything from my father and he/she knows it. And they are proud of this. My mother would also be proud of this.
