The Shanghai Cooperation Organization is a permanent intergovernmental international organization established on 15 June 2001 in Shanghai (PRC) by Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

The envoy also expressed Belarus’s interest in strengthening relations with India and appreciated India’s consistent support for Belarus’s position in the international arena and assured mutual support.

“We are interested in strengthening ties with India in international organizations to ensure efficient resolution of global challenges such as food and energy security, financial instability and climate change. We are grateful to the Indian side for its continued support of our position in the international arena and always respond to the Indian side in the same way,” he said.

Earlier, in March, Belarus Foreign Minister Sergei Alenik also thanked India for supporting its application for full membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), emphasizing on a “just, fair and multi-polar world order”. Had given.
