Will Kohli’s dream come true, can RCB reach the playoffs…this is the equation

New Delhi. In every season of the Indian Premier League, Virat Kohli’s team Royal Challengers Bangalore is considered a contender for victory but it misses the mark. This time too the team is standing at a similar juncture from where it is on the verge of being eliminated. Although the team’s playoff hopes are intact after winning the last three consecutive matches, the equations have become very difficult. We tell you how RCB is still in the race.

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s six consecutive defeats this season have made their job difficult. The team, which had suffered defeat after defeat, has shown great performance and won the last three matches. Although these wins keep their hopes alive for the playoffs, but for this the team will have to depend on other results. RCB team, which is ranked 7th in the points table, has collected 8 points from 4 wins after playing 11 matches. By winning the remaining 3 matches, Virat Kohli’s team can reach 14 points.

What is RCB’s playoff equation?
To make it to the Indian Premier League 2024 playoffs, RCB will have to improve its net run rate by winning all its subsequent matches by a big margin. Virat Kohli’s team, which has registered three consecutive wins, will have to win the next three matches and hope that Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) win at most one match. Both the teams are currently on 12-12 points.

RCB will have to defeat Punjab Kings, Delhi and Chennai by a big margin. We also have to pray that Chennai Super Kings do not win more than one match while Delhi Capitals do not win more than two matches. Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s team has 12 points while Delhi is currently on 10 points. If according to the equation, five teams are tied on 14-14 points, then RCB can make it to the playoffs with better net-run rate.
