Will Bangladesh Air Force take part in Indian Air Force exercise? Answer found

New Delhi: Bangladesh Air Force will also participate in the Indian Air Force’s multinational exercise Tarang Shakti. Bangladesh team will participate in the exercise with its C-130J aircraft. Tarang Shakti exercise is a multinational joint exercise which is being hosted by the Indian Air Force. The first phase of the exercise has been completed from 6 August to 14 August and now the second phase is to be held in Jodhpur from 29 August to 14 September. Bangladesh Air Force will also participate in the second phase.

After the political upheaval in Bangladesh, there was doubt about Bangladesh’s participation in the Tarang Shakti exercise. But now Bangladesh has informed that their team will participate in the exercise. In the first phase of Tarang Shakti, the air forces of France, Germany, Spain and the UK participated with their aircraft. In the second phase, Australia, Greece, Singapore, UAE, Bangladesh and the US will participate.

What is the purpose of this exercise?

In the second phase of the exercise, 27 fighter aircraft, 2 tankers, 2 airborne early warning and control systems, 3 special forces aircraft from other countries will also be included. Including India’s fighter aircraft, there will be a total of 40 fighter aircraft, helicopters which will also include Prachand, Rudra, Apache. In total, 75 aircraft will be included in the second phase. The purpose of this exercise is to show the world how the defense ecosystem in India is constantly growing, as well as to show India’s commitment to self-reliance. The military objective of this exercise is to strengthen relations with friendly countries and learn better strategies and tactics from each other.
