In that match, Veeru scored a total of 309 runs in 375 balls. he/she made life difficult for the Pakistani bowlers. his/her strike rate was around 83 during this period. After doing this, he/she became the first cricketer to score a triple century for India.

The cricketer who scored a triple century for India for the second time was also Virender Sehwag. he/she scored a double century once again exactly 4 years later on 26 March 2008. Apart from Sehwag, Karun Nair has achieved the feat of scoring a triple century for India. Karun Nair scored a triple century in the test match against England in Chennai on 16 December 2016. Nair played an unbeaten innings of 303 runs in 381 balls. The strike rate was around 80. However, despite this, Karun could not play many test matches for India. he/she could play only 6 matches in his/her career.
