Vidya Balan had rejected ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, said, ‘I was scared that everything would go wrong’

‘Bhool Bhulaiya’ came in the year 2007, and was a blockbuster. Made under the direction of Priyadarshan, this film left a deep impression on the hearts of the audience. The film had stars like Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Ameesha Patel and Shiney Ahuja. In the year 2022, T-Series head Bhushan Kumar decided to make ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’. he/she wanted to cast Vidya Balan in this, but the actress refused. Bhushan Kumar himself revealed this and also told the reason. Producer Bhushan Kumar recently said at the launch of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’s song ‘Aami Je Tomar 3.0’, ‘I had approached Vidya ji for ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, But he/she had refused. When we were launching the trailer, we requested him/her to at least be a part of it, so he/she posted the trailer.

Bhushan Kumar further said, ‘he/she liked the trailer very much and also liked the film. Then he/she promised me that he/she would definitely do the third film (maze 3) will become a part of. So this was an inspiration for me, Vidya ma’am and Madhuri ma’am. I would never be able to leave such a big setup, so we were very excited about it.

Vidya said- I was scared

Meanwhile, Vidya Balan said, ‘I was very scared because ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ has given me a lot. I said if I messed up it would all be ruined. I had also told Anees Bazmee Bhai that I cannot take risks. But when he/she came back to me with ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, I loved the script.

Vidya further said, ‘I was dying to work on this with Anees Bhai and Bhushan. After this the film kept getting better. Of course, there was Kartik Aryan and I loved ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’. And then the icing on the cake was Madhuri Dixit. So it got better and I gathered courage. Anees Bazmee is the king of entertainment.
