Varun Dhawan’s entry in ‘Border 2’, when Mother Earth calls I come running… you will get goosebumps

The team of ‘Border 2′ on Friday officially announced Varun Dhawan joining the cast of the film. The sequel to the 1997 hit film is being directed by Sunny Deol. The announcement was made by Sunny on social media when he/she posted a clip with Varun’s voice in the background. In the video, he/she says, “Dushman ki har goli se jai hind bolkar takrana hun, jab dharti maa bulaati hai, sab chhodkar aata hun.” The post further revealed that the film is set to release on January 23, 2026, during Republic Day. Varun Dhawan shared a video on his/her social media and wrote a long note, it read, “I was a kid in class four when I went to Chandan Cinema and watched Border. And it made such a huge impact. I still remember the feeling of national pride that we all felt in the hall. I started looking up to our armed forces and till date, I salute how they protect us and keep us safe, whether it is on our borders or during natural disasters. JP Dutta sir’s Yudh remains one of my favourite films till date. Working in JP sir and Bhushan Kumar’s Border 2 is a very special moment in my career. And getting the chance to work with Sunny paaji, my hero made it even more special.’

‘Border 2’ promises to be India’s most grandiose war film, continuing its legacy with a powerful story and a star-studded cast. Sunny Deol, who played the lead role in the film, will direct the film, while Varun Dhawan will be in the lead role.
