Australian player’s statement before Border Gavaskar Trophy, said- I will also contribute with bowling


Sydney. Australia’s all-rounder Cameron Green, who is excited by his/her batting performance against New Zealand, wants to play a key role with both bat and ball in the five-Test series against India starting on November 22 at his/her home ground Perth. Australia is trying to win the Border Gavaskar Trophy for the first time since 2014-15. India has won the last four series.
Meanwhile, it had defeated Australia at their home in 2018-19 and 2020-21. These two countries will play a five-Test match series for the first time in the last three decades.

Cameron Green told cricket.com.au, “Of course I’m happy to contribute as much as I can at the moment. I’m in really good physical shape to do that. ‘Me and Mitch (Marsh) always joke about who will bowl those overs between the 70th and 80th overs when the ball isn’t doing anything. We’re looking forward to playing that role in the summer.

Green said, “Right now I am in a very good physical condition and I think I can contribute in bowling. Right now I am happy to be an all-rounder.” Let us tell you that Green was sent to bat in the top order during the Test series against New Zealand in November and he/she took full advantage of it and played an unbeaten innings of 174 runs.

Green has played a total of 28 Test matches for Australia so far. During this time, he/she has scored a total of 1377 runs in 43 innings. Green’s highest score has been 174 not out. Talking about the average, it has been 36.23 so far. Green has scored 2 centuries in Tests so far. Now it remains to be seen how Green performs against India.
