USA vs BAN: America created history, Bangladesh got rid of sixes, Mumbai-born Harmeet was the hero of victory.

New Delhi. Just 10 days before the start of the T20 World Cup, a big upheaval has been seen in the cricket world. America, considered a novice, has created history by defeating Bangladesh. This is America’s first victory against Bangladesh. Mumbai-born Harmeet Singh was adjudged player of the match for his/her explosive innings. America is also the co-host of the T20 World Cup. The T20 World Cup is to be played in America and West Indies from June 1. Bangladesh team has already reached America to prepare for this. Both the teams are playing a 3-match T20 series. The first match of the series took place in Houston on Tuesday. Host America defeated Bangladesh by 5 wickets in this match. With this, it has taken a 1-0 lead in the 3-match series.

Bangladesh scored 153 runs for 6 wickets in the T20 match played against America in Houston. From his/her side, Tauheed Hridoy scored the maximum 58 runs. However, this innings of Tauheed was more like an ODI match than a T20 match. Tauheed played 47 balls to score 58 runs. Mahmudullah scored 31 runs on 22 balls. American all-rounder Steven Taylor (28), who took 2 wickets for Bangladesh, along with captain Monank Patel, gave a good start to his/her team. Captain Monank was run out after scoring 12 runs. After this, Steven Taylor and Andries Gaus (23) took their team forward by making a partnership of 38 runs. America lost wickets quickly in the middle overs.

Flamboyant innings of Mumbai born Harmeet
At one time his/her score was 94 runs for 5 wickets. Then it seemed that Bangladesh would make a comeback in the match. But Indian-origin Harmeet Singh and Corey Anderson, who has played for New Zealand, made America win by making a partnership of 62 runs. Corey Anderson remained unbeaten on 34 runs on 25 balls and Harmeet remained unbeaten on 33 runs on 13 balls.
