This player had a hand in making Virat’s career…Sunil Gavaskar gave a statement before the CSK vs RCB match.

New Delhi. Bengaluru has only one match left in the league stage. His match will be against Chennai Super Kings on Saturday. As soon as the result of this match to be held on Saturday comes, the four teams of the playoff will be decided. Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad have already qualified. If RCB team reaches the playoffs then Virat Kohli will play a big role in it. He has scored a lot of runs this season.

Sunil Gavaskar while talking on Star Sports said, “When Virat Kohli’s career started, it seemed to be full of ups and downs. It was Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who gave extra momentum to Virat. Because of which we are seeing such Virat Kohli today.”

Earlier Gavaskar had criticized
Virat Kohli had scored a fifty in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad in this IPL. But his strike rate was less than 120. Gavaskar was not happy with Virat’s slow innings. Sunil Gavaskar had said that in the middle overs it seemed that Virat Kohli had lost his rhythm. Around 31-32 it seemed that he would be out. He did not hit even a single boundary. You take strike from the first ball of the innings and get out in 14-15 overs and your strike rate is 118. This is not something the team expects from you.”

Virat is in first place after scoring 661 runs.
Virat Kohli became the first batsman to score a century in this season of IPL. He is the top scorer in the current IPL with 661 runs in 13 matches. During this period, he has scored runs at a strike rate of 155.16. The RCB team remains in the race for the playoffs with fifth place in the table with 12 points in 13 matches.
