‘There was no need to make Virat Kohli a captain, because he/she …’ Why did the director of RCB say this?

Last update:

Virat Kohli has not been made the captain of RCB. Rajat Patidar has been given the captaincy in his/her place. The director of RCB has said that there was no need to make Virat Kohli a captain.

Why did the director of RCB say this?

New Delhi. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team director Mo Bobat believes that there was no need to captain Virat Kohli. Because they have a natural tendency to lead them and this will benefit the new captain Rajat Patidar. Patidar was appointed the new captain of RCB before IPL 2025.

Speaking to the media, Bobat said, “Virat was an option (for captaincy). I know that fans probably bowed to Virat at the first time. But in the context of Virat, I had to say that Virat does not need captaincy to lead. As we all have seen, leading to lead is one of their strongest trends. I think it comes in them naturally. he/she leads in every situation. But we have seen a lot of love for silver. ”

Former England high performance coach said that Kohli has always set an example on the field with his/her performance. “he/she leads with an example. The number of runs he/she scored last year and the strike rate with which he/she scored was very important for us. Everyone in the field knows that because of them they will have to stay on top of their level. ”

he/she said, “he/she is an example. Andy Flower and I are quite dependent on them. (Former captain) Faf (du Plessy) had a lot of trust in him/her. We are sure that Rajat will also trust him/her a lot. ”Bobat said that Kohli has fully supported the decision to appoint Patidar as captain.
