The match was played in 5-5 overs due to rain, so how will RCB reach the playoffs? understand math

New Delhi. Everyone’s eyes are on the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings to be played on Saturday, May 18 in the Indian Premier League. Virat Kohli’s team needs a big win at any cost while Chennai has to avoid defeat. Although the equations are in favor of Chennai to make it to the playoffs, the task is not too difficult for the RCB team. There is a shadow of rain on the match and if the match is shortened then what equations will arise in front of Virat’s team.

Royal Challengers Bangalore team is going to compete in the knock out match against Chennai Super Kings. The team, which was on the verge of being out of the playoff race after losing 6 consecutive matches, has made a strong comeback and won the last 5 matches. Now by making its sixth win against Chennai a big one, the team can secure a place in the next round. RCB is more afraid of the heavenly troubles than the players of Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s team. There is a shadow of rain on the match, if there is any disturbance then all the hopes will be dashed.

rain shadow in the match

The match between RCB and Chennai is to be played in Bangalore. There was a possibility of rain here many days before the match. According to the Meteorological Department, 60 percent rain has been predicted in the match. The match is to be played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium and the weather appeared clear in the morning but the real concern is in the evening. The weather department has predicted 60 percent rain at the time of the match in the evening.

What will be the equation if the match is of 5-5 overs?

This season has seen the last few matches being washed out due to rain. If the match between Bangalore and Chennai is also affected by rain, then it can be shortened to arrive at the result. It is possible that in case the 20 over match is not held, there will be a 5-5 over match. In such a situation, if RCB bats first then it will have to score 80 runs and restrict Chennai to 62 runs. Whereas if Chennai gets the target of 80 runs then it will have to be won in 3.1 overs i.e. just 19 balls.

After completion of 20 overs, whatever target RCB sets while batting first, it will have to win over Chennai by 18 runs. At the same time, whatever target is achieved by Chennai, it will have to be achieved in 18.1 overs. After defeating RCB Chennai, it will reach level with it on 14 points and will be ahead in net run rate.
