In May 2024, news came that editor Antony Reuben had left ‘Pushpa 2’ midway. he/she edited ‘Pushpa: The Rise’. But during the second part, he/she was busy editing Varun Dhawan’s film ‘Baby John’. Due to which a plan was made to replace him/her with National Award winning editor Naveen Nooli. Apart from this, there were also reports of rift between production company Mythri Movie Makers and music director Devi Sri Prasad. It was claimed that the makers had put pressure on him/her to deliver the background score quickly. But he/she could not do so due to delay in the shoot. After which Sukumar replaced him/her with composers Thaman, Ajneesh Loknath and Sam CS and handed over the responsibility of BGM to them.

Sukumar’s full name is Bandareddy Sukumar. he/she was born on January 11, 1970. he/she is a director-producer and screenwriter. he/she has worked in Telugu cinema and is included in the list of highest paid directors of Indian cinema. According to reports, around Rs 15 crore has been charged for Pushpa 2.

Sukumar became director later. But before that he/she worked for seven years as a lecturer of Maths and Physics in a junior college in Kakinada. he/she started his/her career as a writer and worked with editor Mohan before assisting VV Vinayak on ‘Dil’ in 2003. Apart from this, he/she started his/her career as a director with ‘Arya’ in 2004. Allu Arjun and Kajal Aggarwal were cast in this film and it was a superhit. Sukumar’s father Tirupati Rao Naidu was a rice merchant and mother Veera Veni was a homemaker, who had 6 children. And Sukumar was the youngest among them. Sukumar is married to Thabitha Hamsini, whom he/she met during the screening of his/her film ‘Arya’. After four years of affair, both of them got married in 2009.
