The man who made India world champion will join Pakistan soon.

Islamabad. Since the change in the top command of Pakistan Cricket Board, the team is being prepared for the upcoming T20 World Cup. Pakistan team is going to play a series against England after touring Ireland. From this series, a person is going to join the team who made the Indian team the ICC ODI World Cup winner. Gary Kirsten, who is currently coaching Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League, is going to join Pakistan soon.

Gary Kirsten will take over as the coach of Pakistan’s limited overs cricket team for the next two years in England on Sunday. Pakistan team will play four T20 matches against England to prepare for the T20 World Cup to be held in West Indies and America next month. Pakistan has not yet announced the 15-member team.

Kirsten was the mentor and batting coach of Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League but the team was out of the race for the playoffs on Monday. Kirsten said in a statement issued by the PCB, “I am missing coaching at the international level. I will work with the Pakistan cricket team to improve their game and give opportunities to their fans to smile.” Kirsten has been the coach of India and South Africa.

The Indian team won the ICC ODI World Cup in 2011 under the coaching of Gary Kirsten. To give a memorable farewell to Sachin Tendulkar, before the tournament, all the greats including captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh and Virender Sehwag had made a special plan along with the coach. Team India had defeated Pakistan in the semi-finals. By defeating Sri Lanka in the final, he achieved the feat of becoming world champion after 28 years.
