New Delhi: The Supreme Court has refused to interfere with the Uttarakhand High Court’s order denying bail to a minor boy accused of making and circulating a video of a 14-year-old girl who allegedly committed suicide last year. . A vacation bench of Justice Bela M Trivedi and Justice Pankaj Mithal rejected the minor’s petition challenging the High Court order of April 1. he/she had filed the petition through his/her mother.

Supreme Court rejected the petition
The minor boy is an accused in a case registered in Haridwar district under provisions of the IPC and POCSO Act. The High Court, in its order given on May 20, said, ‘After hearing all the arguments of the senior counsel for the petitioner and carefully studying the material placed on record, we are not inclined to interfere with the order passed by the High Court at this stage. . That is, special leave petitions are rejected. The minor had moved the High Court challenging the order passed by the Juvenile Board, in which his/her bail application was rejected.

Accused of making and sharing video of girl
The High Court had said in its order that the girl was missing from her home since October 22 last year and her body was later recovered. The High Court had said in its order that the minor accused was accused of making a video of his/her classmate girl and sharing it among the students. The girl could not bear it after which she committed suicide.
