The cricketer who snatched the World Cup from India joined the American T20 League, he/she also took SRH to the finals


Melbourne. Australia’s star cricketer Pat Cummins will now be seen playing in the American T20 Cricket League as well. Pat Cummins has signed a four-year deal with San Francisco Unicorns. With this, he/she has joined the list of Australian players joining Major League Cricket (MLC). Australia’s aggressive batsman Jake Fraser McGurk will be Cummins’ partner in the San Francisco team.

This American franchise T20 league has received List A status from the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the second season of this tournament will be played from July 6 to 29. Australia has to tour West Indies in June-July next year and it has to be seen whether this top fast bowler is available for this T20 league then or not.

In a video posted on the franchise’s ‘X’ handle, Pat Cummins said, ‘MLC is progressing very fast and the US market has a lot of potential for cricket.’ Pat Cummins is the captain of Australia’s Test and ODI team. Under his/her captaincy, Australia won the ODI World Cup 2023 trophy.

Pat Cummins has played in only one foreign league IPL so far. he/she was the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2024. The Hyderabad team reached the final of IPL. However, it could not win the title. Cummins has also not played in Australia’s Big Bash League since the 2018-19 season.

Australia’s Glenn Maxwell, Travis Head and Steve Smith have signed with Washington Freedom. New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra is also a part of this team. Shakib Al Hasan and David Miller (Los Angeles Knight Riders), Enrique Norkia and Romario Shepherd (MI New York), Aiden Markram and Daryl Mitchell (Texas Super Kings), Nandre Berger and Obed McCoy (Seattle Orcas) have also signed with MLC.
