T20 World Cup: 3 players of Indian origin in Nainveli team, Pakistan born cricketer is vice captain, 43 year old cricketer will debut


New Delhi. Uganda, which is going to participate in the T20 World Cup for the first time, has included the oldest cricketer in its team. Uganda has included 43-year-old off-spinner Frank Subaga in the 15-man squad. Brian Masabad has been made the captain of the team. Riyazat Ali Shah has been made the vice-captain of Uganda. Born in Gilgit, Pakistan, Riyazat Ali Shah went to Uganda at the age of 16 and then settled there.

T20 World Cup 2024 will be played in June this year hosted by West Indies and America. Uganda is one of the 20 teams participating in it. Uganda is one of the few teams in which players of Indian origin and Pakistani origin will be seen playing together. This team includes 3 Indian born players Raunak Patel, Alpesh Ramjani and Dinesh Nakrani.

Raunak Patel, who is included in the Ugandan team, was born in Anand city of Gujarat. 29 year old Alpesh Ramjani was born in Mumbai. Dinesh Nakrani, born in Kutch, Gujarat, came to Uganda about seven years ago. Left-handed all-rounder Dinesh made his T20 debut for Saurashtra in 2014. He has also represented Gujarat at Under-19 level. This Ugandan team for the World Cup includes Pakistan’s Riyazat Ali Shah and Bilal Hasan.
