How did Sushil Modi fall in love?

This is the year 1973, when Modi was graduating in B.Sc. Botany at Patna Science College and during this time he met Jessie George of Mumbai. Although both were classmates, they first saw each other in a moving train. Later, they fell in love and a series of letters started.

It was a big challenge for Modi and Jesse to overcome the wall of religion, language and different customs as well as to convince the family members. Nothing was easy but in the end love won and breaking all the walls of religion, Modi married Jessie on 13 August 1986.

Choosing his love, Sushil Modi left politics and opened a computer institute. How could someone whose mind was filled with politics be engaged in any other work? It happened as destiny intended and Sushil Modi reached the Assembly in the year 1990. When Modi was the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, his wife was a lecturer in JC College.

Changing profession is not easy

After Sushil Modi returned to politics, he gained popularity again and also got love from the people. It is not an easy thing to leave your old profession and then come back to it, and then get the same success after returning, it is very difficult. Especially for the common man, taking such decisions can be a big challenge, in which the whole game can be of luck.

Sushil Modi was fighting a battle with cancer for the last 6 months and he died on May 13, 2024. Currently his wife Jessie George is a professor in a college and they have two sons. After completing his engineering studies, elder son Utkarsh is working in a multinational company and younger son Akshay Amritanshu is working in the field after completing his law studies.
