What are the requirements for admission in America?

For admission in any university or college, you must have your passport. It is very important to have the score of either IELTS or TOEFL exam. In some colleges, SAT exam score may also be required during admission in undergraduate courses.

What is the admission process in American universities?

Before admission, the student has to decide in which intake he/she wants to take admission. In America, there are three intakes i.e. three time periods when admission can be taken. Students have the option of admission in Fall (September to December), Spring (January to April) and Summer (May to August). Once you decide your admission time period, then start preparing for IELTS or TOEFL exam accordingly.

You will need your passport for the IELTS and TOEFL exams, because registration cannot be done without its number. While you are preparing for this exam, decide your college and course as well. After doing this, the application form can be filled by going to the website of that college, where you will have to register first. For this, you may also have to deposit a few hundred US dollars.

After the registration is confirmed, you will be informed about the entire process through mail. After submitting all the necessary documents for admission and verification from the college, you will get the admission letter. As the next step, you will have to go to the US Embassy and apply for a student visa there. During this, you will be interviewed and after passing it, you will get the visa. After getting the visa, you can fly to America.
