‘Srikanth’ won hearts in the first week, defeated ’12th Fail’! Now facing ‘Kartam Bhugatam’

Rajkummar Rao’s film ‘Srikanth’ has had a pleasant first week at the box office. Visually impaired businessman Srikanth said that this biopic has not only earned crores of rupees in seven days but has also won hearts. This film has once again proved that if the story and content are strong, then slowly but surely one gets the love of the audience. For the past two months, where the biggest films have been flopping and becoming disasters at the box office, ‘Srikanth’, made with a budget of Rs 40 crore, has done business of about 45% of its cost in the first 7 days. Now Shreyas Talpade’s ‘Kartam Bhugatam’ is also releasing on Friday. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see whether it has any impact on the earnings of ‘Srikanth’ or not. ‘Srikanth’, directed by Tushar Hiranandani, was released on Friday, May 10. At the box office, it clashed with the Hollywood film ‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’. Interestingly, even though ‘Planets of the Apes’ franchise film has earned Rs 85 lakh more than ‘Srikanth’ in these seven days, the Hollywood film has lagged behind in terms of viewership. More people have come to watch ‘Srikanth’ in theatres. While ‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ earned more due to the higher ticket rates in the IMAX and 4DX versions.

‘Srikanth’ earned Rs 17.90 crore in the first week

According to the report of sacnilk, ‘Srikanth’ has done a business of Rs 1.45 crore on Thursday, the 7th day of its release. In this way, the total collection of the film in the first week has become Rs 17.90 crore. Even on Thursday, the average audience occupancy of the film has been between 10-11%. Whereas in night shows, spectators were seen in 15 out of 100 seats.

’12th Fail’ earned Rs 13 crore in first seven days

Rajkummar Rao, Alaya F and Jyotika starrer ‘Srikanth’ is being compared to Vikrant Massey’s ’12th Fail’. The reason is that both the films tell the story of success through struggle. The interesting thing is that the 2023 superhit film ’12th Fail’ did a business of Rs 13.04 crore in its first week. That means the earning speed of ‘Srikanth’ is more than this. Made with a budget of Rs 20 crore, ’12th Fail’ had a lifetime net collection of Rs 56.38 crore.

‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’

On the other hand, ‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’, which was released on Friday, has also been successful in pleasing the Indian audience in the first week. This film has made a net collection of Rs 1.46 crore on Thursday. Whereas its total first week collection is Rs 18.75 crore.

Trailer release of Shreyas Talpade’s film ‘Kartam Bhugatam’, will be seen on screen for the first time after heart attack.

‘Kartam Bhugatam’ is releasing on Friday

There is an atmosphere of lethargy in theaters for the last two months. In such a situation, ‘Srikanth’ has come like a light shower with his sweet smile. The earnings may not be bumper, but it is succeeding in bringing the audience to the theatres. Now on Friday, May 17, Shreyas Talpade, Vijay Raaz and Madhu’s ‘Kartam Bhugatam’ is also releasing. However, there doesn’t seem to be much emphasis on this film. The makers have not put much effort into the promotion of the film. Besides, the number of film shows in theaters is also very less. Therefore, it does not seem to cause much harm to ‘Srikanth’.
