Shocked by Jadeja’s statement, said- RCB came out of ventilator but still in ICU

Bengaluru. The performance of Virat Kohli’s team Royal Challengers Bangalore, which once again emerged as a contender for victory in the Indian Premier League, was not as per expectations. After suffering 6 consecutive defeats, their playoff hopes are over, although this team has won the last three consecutive matches. Former Indian all-rounder Ajay Jadeja believes that the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) bowlers have taken their team out of the ‘ventilator’ by performing unitedly, but despite the victory over Gujarat Titans, the team is still in the ‘ICU’.

Chasing Gujarat’s target of 148 runs on Saturday, RCB won by four wickets with 38 balls remaining. Faf du Plessis (64) and Virat Kohli (42) made a partnership of 92 runs in the powerplay but RCB lost consecutive wickets after this, due to which their score went from 92 runs without wickets to 117 runs for six wickets and at one time Gujarat’s unexpected victory. The hope of victory was gone.

Jadeja told ‘Jio Cinema’, “Weaknesses are still visible, what happened in the end, but there is a chance. He is off the ventilator but he is still in the ICU. After watching Virat and Faf bat, we are excited about today’s match. But the real work was done by the bowlers, an aspect in which RCB have traditionally struggled.

Gujarat Titans team was restricted to just 147 runs by Royal Challengers Bangalore bowlers. It is because of this performance that RCB managed to register victory despite faltering in batting. Jadeja said, “The bowling department has now started contributing for them and as we are talking about the end of the season, this is the point where the real chances of winning come into play.”
