Rohit’s partner should not be Yashasvi! Smith reveals who is his/her favourite?

New Delhi. Team India, captained by Rohit Sharma, is going to start the T20 World Cup 2024 with a match against Ireland on June 5. Hitman is believed to be certain to open with Yashasvi Jaiswal as an opener. However, Australia batsman Steve Smith does not agree with this. he/she revealed his/her favorite opening pair for India in the World Cup. Smith wants to see Virat Kohli entering the field with Rohit Sharma in the opening.

While talking to Star Sports, Steve Smith said, “Rohit and Virat will be a good opening combination, Virat is doing well in IPL, he/she is the highest run scorer this season and we all know that Rohit performs well in big tournaments.” Virat Kohli was the highest run scorer during IPL 2024. he/she scored 741 runs in 15 matches at an average of 61.75. Virat scored runs at a brilliant strike rate of 154. During this, he/she scored one century and five half-centuries with his/her bat. he/she also won the Orange Cap. Virat is currently in the best form of his/her career. This is the reason why Steve Smith expressed his/her desire for Virat to open.

Rohit Sharma’s performance this season was similar to Jaiswal’s. he/she scored 417 runs in 14 matches at a strike rate of 150. This season, he/she scored a century and a fifty.
