Rohit Sharma’s statement on his poor batting, what is the use of thinking too much?

Mumbai In this season of the Indian Premier League, the performance of former Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma was not as per his name. He definitely played one century innings but after that he could not do much. There were no runs from his bat in the last 7 matches. Indian captain Rohit Sharma admitted that he could not bat as per his standards in the current season of IPL. Instead of worrying too much about it, he focused on working on the mistakes with positive thinking.

Five-time IPL champion captain Rohit could not score more than 20 runs in six matches in the second phase of this IPL season. He said on Jio Cinema Match Center Live, “As a batsman, I know that I could not live up to the expectations but after playing for so many years, I know that if I think too much, I will not be able to play well.”

He returned to form by scoring 68 runs in 38 balls in the last league match against Lucknow Super Giants but could not lead the team to victory. Rohit said, “I try to stay positive. I keep practicing and working on my mistakes. This season of ours was not good and we have ourselves to blame for this because we made a lot of mistakes. We lost matches which we should have won but that’s what happens in IPL. You get less opportunities and the ones you get, you should not waste them.

The Indian captain also said that 70 percent of the team for the T20 World Cup was decided even before the IPL. He said, “There are ups and downs in performance in IPL. We didn’t focus much on that. Even before this season of IPL, 70 percent of the players of the World Cup team knew their role.
