Re-released ‘Tumbaad’ beats ‘Yudhra’ on the second day! Thalapathy Vijay takes lead in GOAT race


The box office is buzzing. ‘Stree 2’ has been ruling the roost for a month now. Siddhant Chaturvedi’s ‘Yudhra’ has also hit the screens, but it could not topple the re-released ‘Tumbad’ and also lagged behind Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘The Greatest of All Time’ (GOAT). Who benefited from the weekend after Cinema Day and who did not, let’s find out in this report.Yudhra movie was released on 20 September. It is directed by Ravi Udyawar and the story is written by Sridhar Raghavan. Dialogues are written by Farhan Akhtar and Akshat Ghildial. The second day of ‘Yudhra’ was dull

The film ‘Yudhra’ opened its account with Rs 4.5 crore on the opening day, but on the second day it did not get the benefit of the weekend. On Saturday, the film collected only Rs 1.50 crore (estimated). Now the total collection of this film is Rs 6 crore. While the re-released ‘Tumbaad’ is far ahead of it.

Talking about Tumbbad, producer Soham Shah’s folk horror thriller ‘Tumbbad’ has been surprising the box office with its spectacular collections every day since its re-release a week ago. The first week saw a good collection of 13.15 crores. The second weekend saw a massive jump of more than 100 percent on Friday thanks to National Cinema Day and collected around 2.75 crores. The film’s collection remained good on Saturday as well and it crossed the 2 crore mark. It has earned 2.25 crores. Its total re-release collection in 9 days has become around 18 crores net, which is about 35% more than the film’s lifetime original run (13.50 crores).

‘The Greatest of All Time’, which opened with Rs 44 crore, is now in its third week. It has collected Rs 4 crore (estimated) on its third Saturday. Now its total earnings are Rs 238.35 crore. That is, it has collected more than ‘Yudhra’ and ‘Tumbaad’.
