PCB’s Mann Manovwal, Pakistan will get new head coach on Zimbabwe tour


New Delhi. There is an uproar in Pakistan cricket. The team is currently busy playing the T20 series in Australia and here the Pakistan Cricket Board is pleading with its selector for the upcoming Zimbabwe tour. After the resignation of Gary Kirsten from the post of limited overs coach, PCB should first give this responsibility to Jason Gillespie but he/she has refused. Under the coaching of Gillespie, Pakistan team recently won the ODI series in Australia. PCB has now decided to make its selector Aaqib Javed the coach. Although Aaqib was also not ready for this at first, but PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has convinced Javed for this.

There is a strong possibility of PCB’s current national selector and former fast bowler Aqib Javed being appointed as the head coach in white ball formats (T20 International and ODI) before Pakistan’s tour of Zimbabwe. Pakistan will travel to Zimbabwe for three ODIs and as many T20 matches between November 24 and December 5. A reliable source of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that Javed was not ready to take the responsibility of the coach of the team but Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has convinced him/her.

Pakistani team will fly to Harare
The source said, ‘The Pakistani team will fly to Harare after playing its last T20 match in Australia on Monday. In such a situation, the new head coach will join him/her in Zimbabwe. Javed is currently a senior national selector. he/she has a lot of coaching experience with Lahore Qalandars in Pakistan Super League (PSL). Recently he/she was also the bowling coach of Sri Lanka.
