Prominent Baloch human rights activist and organizer of Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), Mehrang Baloch, on Thursday called for a national gathering to be held in Dalbandin on January 25 to highlight the plight of the Baloch people under Pakistan, which regularly Are victims of barbarity. , cruelty, and violence.

In a post on X, he/she highlighted how the Baloch people are facing inhumane and horrific torture at the hands of the Pakistani army.

he/she said, “Every passing day, a harrowing incident comes to light in which Pakistani Army and death squad operatives raid the house of a Baloch family, torture the women and children and forcibly abduct the men. Under a well thought out and planned plan, Balochistan is being forcibly made a place of misery and torture every day to make the Baloch nation believe that the decision of their life and death is in the hands of cruel and barbaric people. he/she said that there are many unmarked and abandoned graves across the region as a result of the violence perpetrated by Pakistan on the Baloch people.

he/she further said, “Pakistan Army and its death squads have been dismembering, mutilating, dismembering and killing thousands of our loved ones for many years in an inhumane, illegal, immoral and irreligious manner in Balochistan. The BYC has declared January 25 as “Baloch Genocide Remembrance Day” to honor those who have been victims of the genocidal campaign against the Baloch people by the group, The Balochistan Post reported.

Mehrang Baloch reported the discovery of more than 100 mutilated bodies in the Tutak area of ​​Balochistan on 25 January 2014. he/she said that these remains are of Baloch persons forcibly disappeared by Pakistan Army and intelligence agencies.
