New recruitment is coming for thousands of posts including Lekhpal, Naib Tehsildar in UP, make preparations

UP Revenue Department Vacancy 2024: The Yogi government has kept the resolution of land related matters and digitization of documents a priority in Uttar Pradesh. Due to this, the work of the Revenue Council has also increased significantly. Therefore, along with filling the vacant posts in different cadres in the Council, a proposal for creation of new posts is also being prepared. Especially the focus is on improving the ratio with Gram Panchayats by increasing the posts of Accountant and Revenue Inspector.

At present a campaign to register Gharauni is going on in UP. Apart from this, the process of consolidation, verification and issuance of personal documents like various certificates has also been done online. Revenue employees play a role in everything from crop survey to disaster relief campaigns. In view of this, there has been discussion on restructuring of posts in different cadres in the Revenue Council. A proposal to study the models of other states is also being made.

UP Sarkari Naukri: Posts will increase according to villages

Sources say that at present there is one post of Lekhpal in 5 revenue villages in the state. At the same time, the ratio of appointment of one Revenue Inspector for 10 Lekhpal areas is. However, due to vacancy of about 7 thousand posts of accountants, the accountants currently have more work than this ratio. At the same time, due to increase in activities at tehsil and village level, a need is being felt to increase their number.

According to the proposal prepared by the Council, at present it has been recommended to create the post of one Lekhpal in two revenue villages and one post of Revenue Inspector in five Lekhpal areas. The posts of Naib Tehsildar will also increase in the same proportion. Apart from this, some new posts of technical cadre will also be created at the tehsil level.

Recruitment 2024 in UP: First 10 thousand vacant posts will be filled

According to sources, before finalizing the process of creation of new posts, the vacant posts will be filled on priority basis. Recently, in the review meeting of the Revenue Council, the CM gave instructions for this. Under this, there is to be direct recruitment of about 7 thousand accountants, 1660 junior assistants, 900 stenos and about 300 Naib Tehsildars. More than 2,000 junior assistants, 1,000 revenue inspectors, about 800 tehsildars and other administrative posts will be filled through promotion.
