Kohli should not become a victim of what happened to Shubman, his dream may be broken.

New Delhi. Virat Kohli came to play in another season of the Indian Premier League waiting for his first trophy but the performance of Royal Challengers Bangalore was not as expected. Six consecutive defeats made their path to the playoffs difficult. In the last 5 matches, the team made a strong comeback by winning the flag and kept alive the hopes of reaching the last four. RCB has to face a do or die match against Chennai Super Kings. A big win in this match can take the team to the next round but there is another challenge in front of it which broke the dream of Shubman Gill this season.

The picture of the playoffs will become clear after the match between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore on Saturday evening. The teams of Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad have confirmed their place in the next round. The name of the fourth team of the playoff will be revealed after the match between RCB and Chennai. Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s team needs only victory here whereas Virat Kohli’s team has to win the match by 18 or more runs. Chasing the target, we will have to win in 18 overs.

Virat should not lose like Shubman Gill.
Gujarat Titans, who came against Kolkata Knight Riders with a slight hope of being in the race for the playoffs this season, were eliminated without playing the match. This match could not be played due to rain. One point each was distributed between both the teams and Shubman’s playoff hopes were completely dashed. Now something similar can happen with Virat Kohli also. The match against Chennai is under the shadow of rain and if the match is cancelled, RCB will be out without playing.

Will Virat Kohli’s dream be broken?
In the year 2013, Virat Kohli was given the command of RCB. Since assuming the captaincy, his performance as a batsman has been amazing but till now he has not been able to win a single trophy. In 2021 i.e. IPL 14, this stalwart had announced to leave the captaincy of RCB. While captaining RCB, out of 140 matches, Virat led the team to victory in 60 matches while facing defeat in 70 matches. During this period, the team reached the finals in 2016 but had to face defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
