After Virat Kohli, Chennai Super Kings captain Ruturaj Gaikwad was second among the batsmen who scored the most runs this season. Gaikwad scored 583 runs in 14 matches with the help of 1 century and 4 half-centuries. Before Kohli, the stalwarts Chris Gayle and David Warner have captured the Orange Cap more than once in the IPL. Gayle won the Orange Cap in 2011 while playing for RCB. After this, he/she retained his/her title in the next season also. David Warner won the Orange Cap thrice in 2015, 2017 and 2019 while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
