Kangana Ranaut had rejected the item number in ‘Ram Leela’, said- how are you showing women

Actress, MP and director-producer Kangana Ranaut is continuously promoting her film ‘Emergency’ these days. In this movie, she will be seen in the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The actress is also making many claims in interviews. Earlier, she had told that Ranbir Kapoor had come to her house and was pleading in front of her to work in ‘Sanju’. Now she has told that she was offered Priyanka Chopra’s item number in Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh starrer film ‘Ram Leela’, but she rejected it. Kangana Ranaut told ‘presswire18 Times’ that she was called by director Sanjay Leela Bhansali himself. But she refused to do the item number. She said, ‘Now see. Sanjay Leela Bhansali ji called me for the item number of Ramleela. I said, I cannot do it. Whether Bhansali calls me or anyone else, I cannot do the item number. People said, she is crazy, who is refusing Bhansali. It is very important how we portray a woman.

Kangana Ranaut said this on item number

Kangana Ranaut further said, ‘I did a very important episode of Satyamev Jayate with Aamir Khan ji, 10 years ago. We were talking about the same thing and we are talking about the same thing even today. Tandoori Murgi Hoon Yaar, Gutka Le Saiyan Alcohol Se. What are we telling through songs like these? The kind of patriotic films create a ruckus at the box office, seeing them, one wonders where is this coming from? Applause, whistles, boys are going out with axes and guns in the school, and no one is saying anything to them, nor is anyone stopping them.’

Kangana Ranaut rejected Salman and Ranbir’s movies

Kangana Ranaut further said, ‘Such films should be condemned. The media is also responsible for the appreciation that such people get. They should be condemned, they should be criticized.’ The actress had earlier told that she has rejected films ranging from Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ to Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Sanju’.
