Kangana Ranaut claims she is getting rape and death threats; certification of film ‘Emergency’ stopped!

Kangana also has high expectations from this film. She is busy promoting the film vigorously and is telling about her film that why the audience should watch her film! However, this film of Kangana has been surrounded by controversies before its release. As Kangana, she is constantly receiving rape and death threats. Apart from this, the actress told on Friday that her film is stuck with the censor board and the rumors that the film has been approved for release are wrong. Kangana has played the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in this film, which is releasing on 6 September 2024. Kangana Ranaut has claimed in a video shared on X that she and the members of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) are receiving threats. She said that she is under pressure not to show the assassination of the former Prime Minister by Sikh security personnel. The question of whether the film will be released in theatres amidst the constant threats she is receiving has become serious. Because Kangana herself has said that her film has not received a certificate from the censor. Sharing a video of about a minute, she said that many kinds of rumours are flying around that our film has received a certificate from the censor board.

Certification of the film was withheld

Kangana said, ‘Our film was cleared, but its certification has been stopped. Because, we are getting a lot of threats, even the censor board is getting threats. There is pressure on us not to show Indira Gandhi’s death, not to show Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, not to show the scenes of Punjab riots, then what else. I am sorry, it has become difficult for me to believe this time and the situation that has arisen. All this is happening in one state of this country.’
