Rimi Sen burst out in anger, filed a case of 50 crores on the car company, said- I am suffering mentally!

Bollywood actress Rimi Sen has filed a legal suit against luxury car maker Land Rover, seeking compensation of Rs 50 crore as damages. She has claimed that this is a ‘substandard’ car and since buying it in the year 2020, she has been facing a lot of trouble and inconvenience. She has accused the company of mental harassment. Know what is the whole matter. Rimi Sen bought this luxury car for Rs 92 lakh from Satish Motors Pvt Ltd, an authorized dealer of Jaguar Land Rover. The car came with a warranty valid till January 2023. However, the car was rarely used due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown.

Rimi Sen faced these problems in the car

Rimi Sen alleges that when she started driving the car regularly, she faced several problems related to the sunroof, sound system and rear-end camera.

The car collided with the pole

These problems led to a major accident on 25 August 2022. The car collided with a pillar, reportedly due to a malfunctioning rear-end camera. The dealership was informed about these problems, but Rimi Sen has claimed that her complaints were not fully resolved. According to her, evidence was sought before taking any action. Due to this, repairs also continued again and again. As soon as one problem was fixed, another one was ready.

The car has been repaired more than 10 times

In his/her legal notice, Rimi Sen has argued that the car is fundamentally flawed, whether it is in the manufacturing or in the maintenance done by the authorised dealer. he/she said that the car has been sent for repairs more than ten times, yet the problems persist, causing him/her immense mental agony and inconvenience.

Demanded 50 crores, 10 lakhs and replacement of car

Due to these ongoing problems, Rimi Sen has demanded a compensation of Rs 50 crore for the troubles she has faced. She has also demanded an additional Rs 10 lakh to meet her legal expenses. Apart from this, she has also demanded the replacement of the defective car.
