Jayden shook, only 5 runs in 15.5 overs spell… most economical bowling in 47 years

The same was seen in the West Indies vs Bangladesh test match, when Jayden Seales bowled the most economical bowling in 47 years.

The second Test match of the 2-match series between hosts West Indies and Bangladesh started on Monday. In this match being played in Kingston, West Indies all out Bangladesh for 164 runs. Bangladesh’s batsmen faced the most difficulty in playing Jayden Seales. Seales bowled 10 maidens in a spell of 15.5 overs and gave only 5 runs. That means, even in the overs in which he/she gave runs, not more than one. Jayden Seales took 4 wickets with his/her killer and economical bowling. This is the record of most economical bowling since April 1, 1977. On this day, Majid Khan gave only 3 runs in his/her 10 over spell against West Indies. Then his/her economy rate was 0.30. Whereas Jayden bowled at an economy rate of 0.31.

Record is in the name of Nadkarni
The record of most economical bowling in a test match is in the name of India’s Bapu Nadkarni. he/she gave only 5 runs in a spell of 32 overs in the Chennai Test against England in 1964. Nadkarni had bowled 27 maiden overs in this spell. his/her economy rate was 0.15.
