It is difficult for Dravid’s son to play in the Under 19 World Cup, know the whole matter


New Delhi. Samit Dravid, son of former Indian cricket team batsman Rahul Dravid, will shine on the field against Australia for the Under-19 cricket team this month (September-October). Samit has recently been included in the India Under 19 team for the first time. At the beginning of the year, he/she impressed with his/her all-round performance in the Cooch Behar Trophy for Karnataka. he/she has been rewarded for this brilliant performance. However, despite this, his/her chances of playing in the upcoming Under 19 World Cup 2026 are very low.

Samit Dravid is currently playing in the Maharaja T20 Trophy. This tournament is being organized in Karnataka. Where Samit is playing for Mysore Warriors. he/she has scored 82 runs in seven innings while playing in the middle order. his/her strike rate has been 114. However, during this time he/she did not get a chance to bowl. Samit also bowls medium pace. In the domestic four-day Cooch Behar Trophy, Samit played for Karnataka and scored 362 runs in 8 matches as well as took 16 wickets.

Under 19 World Cup will be held in 2026
Despite being selected in the Indian Under 19 team, it is difficult for Samit Dravid to play in the Under 19 Cricket World Cup (U19 Cricket World Cup 2026) to be held after two years. Rahul Dravid’s elder son was born on 10 November 2005. he/she will celebrate his/her 19th birthday after two months. This means that when the BCCI selectors will select the Under-19 team for the World Cup in 2026, he/she will be around 21 years old. For this reason, his/her dream of playing in the Under 19 World Cup will be shattered. Samit Dravid’s father Rahul Dravid also did not play the Under 19 World Cup.

Samit Dravid will be seen in action on September 21
Samit Dravid will play a 3-match ODI series for India Under 19 team. It will be held on 21, 23 and 26 September. This series will be played in Puducherry. The Indian team will be captained by Mohammad Aman of Uttar Pradesh. After the ODI series, the Indian team will play two four-day matches which will start from 30 September. The second match will be played from 7 September.
