Kangana Ranaut’s film ‘Emergency’ postponed, there was strong opposition to the film


Bollywood actress and BJP MP from Mandi Lok Sabha seat of Himachal Pradesh Kangana Ranaut has suffered a major setback. his/her film ‘Emergency’, which was stuck for release for a long time, has been postponed once again. The movie was scheduled to release on 6 September 2024. But there was tremendous opposition to the film. Threats were being received and the certificate was also not received from the Censor Board. Now the makers will soon announce when this film will be released. Kangana Ranaut has played the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in this film. This is a biographical political drama movie, directed by Kangana Ranaut and she is also the co-producer of the film. The film is based on the emergency imposed in India. Apart from Kangana, it stars stars like Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhary and late actor Milind Soman.

‘Emergency’ movie postponed once again

This movie has been postponed several times before. Finally it was going to hit the theaters on 6 September 2024, but once again the makers have postponed it.

The film did not get a certificate from the censor board

Kangana recently shared a video on X and revealed that her film has not been able to get a certificate from the censor board due to the huge controversy. She is even receiving death threats.

There is protest against the film ‘Emergency’

The Sikh community has protested against this film. They allege that facts have been distorted in the film. An attempt has been made to tarnish the image of the Sikh community. There was a demand to ban the film on the grounds that it would hurt sentiments and create tension between Hindus and Sikhs.
