A special book will be made
It is expected that the Commission team will go from Delhi to Mumbai on Saturday night or Sunday and give the list of members elected to the new Assembly to the Governor of Maharashtra. Commission officials said that there is a system for this. A book has to be maintained with the names of all the new members elected to the new assembly. This book will be made after the results are completely finalized. Then the Book Commission team will go from Delhi to Mumbai and hand it over to the Governor of Maharashtra. This means that the election work has been completed as per the Constitution.
No restriction on forming government till 26th November
After this the Governor’s time starts, he/she can take as much time as he/she wants. There is no constitutional restriction in this. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that there is no restriction on forming the government till November 26. The Commission will submit the certified list of newly elected Assembly members to the Governor of Maharashtra before November 26. Former Chief Election Commissioner O. P. Rawat had also said earlier in this matter that the rule in democracy is that till the day the tenure of the Legislative Assembly of any state ends. Before that, assembly elections should be held there. Then whether someone forms the government or not, all these are subsequent processes.
