Masterstoke: BJP again gathered support base, know how it turned the tables in 170 days, understand the whole equation

New Delhi: The results of the general elections came in June 2024. BJP alone remained away from majority. It was said that under the leadership of Narendra Modi, BJP has left behind its best. Now the party and the government will have to struggle a lot from here. They will have to compromise with other allies and also face the aggression of the emerging opposition. Looking at the situation, it was also said that BJP may have to face problems in every upcoming assembly election. The reason behind this was that in all the assembly elections held till now, BJP used to perform weakly in comparison to the Lok Sabha elections. There were some indications in the beginning and one after another such decisions were taken which raised questions on the integrity of the government and the party. But, between June 4 and November 23, BJP and the government silently learned from the mistakes and took advantage of the mistakes of the opposition and turned the entire political game.

BJP remained continuously active on the basis of Rahul Gandhi’s speech on reservation in America. Within the party, Amit Shah and Narendra Modi themselves kept social engineering at the center stage. It was kept in full focus in Haryana elections and Maharashtra elections. he/she also tried to take back tribal votes by bringing Babu Lal Marandi and Champai Soren into his/her fold. Ultimately, after 170 days of continuous efforts, BJP was successful in regaining its scattered support base.

After the entangled politics of castes and pressure from the opposition for caste census, BJP found a solution to this in these 170 days. BJP countered this narrative of the opposition and especially the Congress with a Greater Hindu bet. he/she called the caste census an attempt to create division among the castes. In this bet, Congress won in the first round and BJP won in the second round after 170 days.

Haryana gave a chance to take off

Haryana elections gave BJP a chance to take off. Congress also made a strategic mistake in this. In Haryana, Congress focused more on Jat politics in Haryana. his/her own Dalit leader Kumari Selja indirectly raised questions on her own party’s claim. From here BJP got the opportunity and counterattacked. The party won the entire non-Jat vote there, especially the OBC vote. The party adopted this model in Maharashtra. Special care was taken of this equation in ticket distribution. Overall, after 170 days, BJP started moving away from its peak.

Now there is no end to political race

Now there will be almost a pause in political races for the next one year. There will be Delhi Assembly elections next year which is proposed in February. After this, elections will be held in Bihar at the end of next year. This year is considered to be the dullest in the political phase. In such a situation, BJP can now use the time to take forward its pending agenda. BJP has to take many important decisions in the coming days. The government has to take a decision on the format of the census. The bill related to Waqf Board has to be passed by the Parliament. A final decision has to be taken on delimitation and one country, one election. Economically, some serious challenges have arisen before the government. The government can now take bold decisions on all these fronts and the mandate that came on Saturday made things easier for them.
