New Delhi. The name of the second team to reach the playoffs of the Indian Premier League 2024 has been decided. Rajasthan Royals team, which is ranked second after Kolkata Knight Riders, has also got the ticket to go to the next round. Sanju Samson’s team benefited from the result of the match played between Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants. Rishabh Pant’s team defeated Lucknow under the captaincy of KL Rahul and cleared the way for Rajasthan’s playoffs.

The match played in the Indian Premier League on Tuesday was do or die for Delhi Capitals. In this match, the team showed a strong performance against Lucknow Super Giants. Batting first, the score was 208 runs for 4 wickets with the help of fifties from Abhishek Porel and Tristan Stubbs. While chasing the target, Lucknow’s batting faltered badly.

With Delhi’s victory over Lucknow, Rajasthan Royals’ playoff ticket was confirmed. The team ranked second in the points table with 16 points is now sure to remain in the last four. This team still has two matches left and can reach 20 points. The reason for Rajasthan getting the playoff ticket is clear that the bottom two teams can reach 16 points but cannot take them out of the top 4.

Sunrisers Hyderabad has 14 points and can reach 18 points if they win their next two matches. Chennai Super Kings is on 14 points and by winning the last match they can reach 16 points. If Royal Challengers Bangalore beats Chennai in the last match, it will reach 14 points. Delhi has 14 points and Lucknow will reach only 14 points even after winning the last match.
