While chasing the target of 188 runs of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Delhi team was reduced to 140 runs in 19.1 overs. Captain Akshar Patel struggled a lot, but could not lead the team to victory. He scored 57 runs in 39 balls before getting out.

Earlier, RCB scored 187 runs for nine wickets. From his side, Rajat Patidar scored the highest score of 52 runs (32 balls). He got good support from Will Jacques (41 runs in 29 balls). IPL playoff scenarios: RCB changed the whole equation, 3 teams are out, but 6 are still in the race for playoffs, KKR…

Akshar Patel said after the match, ‘We suffered loss due to dropping the catch. They (RCB) could have been restricted to 150 runs. Our batting also had a bad start. When you lose four wickets in the powerplay, you are always chasing in the match.

Akshar Patel said, ‘Some balls were coming out fast from the pitch and some were coming haltingly. But the target of 160-170 runs could still be achieved. But when your main players get run out and you lose four in the powerplay, it becomes difficult.
