‘Indian 2’ crosses 100 crores worldwide in the first weekend, Akshay’s ‘Sarfira’ slow but steady

Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sarfira’ has had a slow start at the box office. However, the film is being praised and that is why its earnings neither rose much nor fell in the first weekend. Rather, the earnings of this film directed by Sudha Kongara have increased by 23.53% in the weekend. On the other hand, even though the pace of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has slowed down a bit after 18 days, it is still at the top of the box office. While Kamal Haasan’s ‘Indian 2’ (Hindustani 2 in Hindi) has earned more than 100 crores worldwide in the first weekend. Akshay’s ‘Sarfira’ is a remake of the Tamil film ‘Soorarai Pottru’ released in the year 2020. This Surya starrer film was also directed by Sudha Kongara. This film is already available on OTT in Hindi under the name ‘Udaan’. But despite this, the audience has given it a decent response in the cinema halls due to Akshay’s stardom and his/her excellent acting. According to the report of sacnilk, ‘Sarfira’ has made a net collection of Rs 12.00 crore in the first weekend.

‘Sarfira’ earned Rs 5.25 crore on Sunday

On Sunday, ‘Sarfira’ has made a net collection of Rs 5.25 crore in the country. A day before, on Saturday, it had earned Rs 4.25 crore. While on the opening day, Friday, it had earned Rs 2.50 crore. The most important thing for ‘Sarfira’ is that its earnings do not fall too much on Monday. If it succeeds in doing so, then it will earn good money, albeit slowly.

Worldwide collection of ‘Sarfira’

To attract the audience to the theatres, the makers of ‘Sarfira’ and PVR-INOX have also come up with an offer. In this, on booking the ticket for ‘Sarfira’, one tea and two samosas will be given. It will be interesting to see how big a support this offer becomes for ‘Sarfira’ during the working days. In the remaining three days, this Akshay Kumar film has made a gross collection of Rs 19 crore worldwide.

Kamal Haasan’s ‘Indian 2’ is giving competition to ‘Kalki 2898 AD’

On the other hand, Kamal Haasan’s ‘Indian 2’, which is giving a tough competition to ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ in South cinemas, has earned Rs 59.15 crore in the country in three days. On Sunday, it has earned Rs 15.35 crore in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu combined. While ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has earned Rs 16.45 crore in five languages combined.

‘Indian 2’ crosses 109 crores worldwide in three days

The interesting thing is that ‘Indian 2’ has earned a fantastic amount of Rs 109.15 crore worldwide in the first weekend. After ‘Vikram’, this is on its way to becoming another superhit film of Kamal Haasan. On Sunday, the audience occupancy of the film in the Tamil version was up to 47%.

‘Hindustani 2’ is not working in Hindi

‘Indian 2’ has a special focus in the Tamil language. But this film has lagged behind in Hindi. One reason for this is that ‘Indian’ which was released 28 years ago was not in Hindi. Later, people have definitely seen the dubbed version of that film. But apparently the Hindi audience is not waiting for its sequel for long. However, despite this, this film has earned 3.9 crores rupees from the Hindi version in the first weekend.
