New Delhi. India scored a mammoth 205 runs in the Super-8 match of the T20 World Cup against Australia. India hit 15 sixes in this do or die match for Australia. This is India’s record for the most sixes in a T20 World Cup match. India had made this record against Bangladesh just a day before.

The Super-8 match between India and Australia was played in St. Lucia. Australia won the toss and chose to field first. It had rained heavily before the match. Due to this, the fast bowlers were expected to get help. The way the Indian team batted, this hope was shattered. India scored 205 runs for 5 wickets in this match. Captain Rohit Sharma scored 92 runs for India. Suryakumar Yadav scored 31, Shivam Dubey scored 28, Hardik Pandya scored 27 and Rishabh Pant scored 15 runs.

Indian batsmen hit 15 sixes in this innings. This is India’s record for most sixes in a T20 World Cup match. India had hit 13 sixes against Bangladesh a day earlier.
