What happens if you eat soaked dry fruits?

We need to soften the phytates and oxalates present in the outer layer of nuts, so that we can absorb them easily without losing nutrients like B-vitamins. Soaking reduces these phytates and makes nuts easier to digest. Apart from this, soaking also partially digests the protein present in the nuts. Therefore, it is beneficial to consume soaked almonds daily.

Soaked raisins are much easier to digest and retain their nutrients. Soaking also removes the natural sulfites present on their surface. Additionally, soaking removes the natural sugars in raisins, making them a healthy snack option. So, just like we soak grains, pulses and legumes, it is important to soak dry fruits and nuts as well.
