Monica Shergill, the content head of the OTT platform, has given this information. She said that for viewers unaware of this 1999 plane hijack incident, the initial disclaimer has been updated. The code names used in the series now reflect the names used during that incident.

The series tells the story of the hijacking of Indian Airlines flight IC-814 by Pakistan-based terrorist organization Harkat-ul-Mujahideen in 1999. Upon release, hundreds of social media users accused the makers of the series of changing the names of two hijackers.

These hijackers took the flight to Kandahar, which was in Taliban-ruled Afghanistan at the time. Social media users alleged that the names of these hijackers were changed to ‘Bhola’ and ‘Shankar’. The Indian government led by then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had to release three terrorists Masood Azhar, Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh and Mushtaq Ahmed Zargar for the release of more than 150 passengers and crew members.
