After dating for many years, Akshar is getting married to his friend Meha (Meha Patel) on 26 January 2023 in Vadodara. Meha is a professional dietician and helps her cricketer husband stay fit by planning his diet chart. Both of them have been friends for a long time, with time their friendship grew stronger and then turned into love. They both got engaged in the year 2022 and got married the next year.

On his 28th birthday, Akshar got down on his knees and proposed to Meha in front of everyone and made this day memorable for himself with her ‘yes’. After this, Meha wrote in her post on social media, ‘Today is a new beginning of our life, together, forever. Love for eternity.’ Akshar’s dance performance on the stage at the wedding ceremony and the photo of her taking out the wedding procession in a vintage car also made headlines in the media. Akshar took time out from his busy cricket schedule and took Meha abroad.

Akshar, who made his international debut through ODI in June 2014, has so far played 14 Tests, 57 ODIs and 52 T20Is. Akshar, who has taken 60 wickets in ODI, has also scored two half-centuries in this format, while in T20I, he has 49 wickets and 361 runs in his name.
