New Delhi. St. Lucia Kings is the new champion of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). It defeated Guyana Amazon Warriors by 6 wickets in the final. Not just one or two, players from at least six countries played a role in making St. Lucia Kings champions. In the final, Noor Ahmed of Afghanistan took the most wickets while Roston Chase of West Indies and Aaron Jones of America batted strongly.

David Visa of Netherlands and Tim Seifert of New Zealand also played important roles in this team captained by South Africa’s Faf du Plessis. After winning the final, when Faf du Plessis went to receive the trophy, he/she created the same moment which Rohit Sharma did after winning the T20 World Cup.

Talking about the match, Guyana Amazon Warriors, batting first, scored 138 runs for 8 wickets. The batting of Guyana Amazon Warriors flopped badly. At one time he/she had lost 7 wickets for 97 runs. Dwayne Pretorius, who was batting at number 10, scored 25 runs and took his/her team to 138 runs. Pretorius was the top scorer of his/her team. Noor Ahmed took maximum 3 wickets for St. Lucia Kings.
