CUET UG 2024: 50% exam will be done on the first day itself, take care of 8 things, otherwise you will have to face difficulties.

CUET 2024 News in Hindi: The country’s second biggest entrance exam Common University Entrance Test (CUET- UG) is starting from May 15. More than 13.48 lakh candidates have applied in this. The exam will be offline (pen and paper mode) for the first four days. 50% of the exam will be covered on the first day itself. The remaining 50% of the exam will be held in the remaining six days.

National Testing Agency (NTA) has fixed the window for the exam from 15th to 24th May. There will be computer based tests for three days in this window. The examination of all 63 subjects will be completed in 7 days and 16 shifts. This time the number of CUET Exam Centers has also been increased three times.

CUET UG Exam 2024: Exam of two major subjects on the first day

NTA Director General Subodh Kumar Singh says that in the CUET UG examination, the examination of 4 subjects including two major subjects will be completed on the first day itself. On the first day there is examination of Chemistry, Biology, English and General Test. 10.07 lakh students have registered in English and 8.34 lakh students have registered in General Test.

At the same time, UGC Chairman Prof. M. Jagadish Kumar says that three times more than in 2023 CUET There is an exam centre. Last year there were only 821 centres, which has increased to 2,415 this time. This time students have got examination centers only on the basis of their first choice.

CUET 2024: Take special care of 8 things

  • This time a candidate can appear for maximum 6 subjects.
  • If he has papers of two subjects in a day, he will have to carry two passport size photographs.
  • Photograph will be pasted on the examination sheet in every paper at the examination centre.
  • The photo should be the same as was uploaded in the application form.
  • The test booklet code which appears on the OMR answer sheet should be the same on the OMR answer sheet.
  • The candidate can carry a transparent water bottle and pen.
  • A photo ID will be required.
  • Blank paper sheets will not be available for rough work. Rough work will have to be done in the space given on the test booklet.

NBT lens: NTA’s decisions are also being tested

According to experts, students are getting more facilities in 2024 and it should be expected that students will not face problems this time. Another aspect of this examination is that applicants are still preferring only a few universities. Whereas admission in 261 universities will be based on NTA score. But the first choice of the applicants is Delhi University.

If we look at the applications from 2022 to 2024, the maximum number of applications (25.96 lakh) have come for admission in Delhi University. Banaras Hindu University is at second place. Apart from this, more applications have come for Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University of Lucknow.
